Koos Sekreve | Lead Vocalist
Koos Sekreve, born in The Hague on April 28, 1960, moved to Kwintsheul in Westland at the age of 3 and still lives there.

Koos' father was a lecturer in his spare time and his mother worked in the sewing workshop of her brother, who was a make-up artist and stage hairdresser. As a small child, Koos Sekreve imitated Louis Armstrong with a vacuum cleaner hose as a microphone and cord and a sink unblocker as a trumpet with which he entertained the local residents.

When Koos is not rehearsing or performing, he enjoys playing different musical instruments. Koos joined Plackband in 2005 as a temporary replacement for then lead singer Karel Messemaker, who had to undergo major surgery. That year the band toured the Netherlands, Belgium, England and Italy. Koos turned out to be a tough frontman more than a worthy stand-in for Karel.

We will call on him again in 2024  as a replacement for Kees Bik.
